The best way to follow Ooloi's development is through the blog and the newsletter.

Ooloi's architectural documentation is publicly available in the Ooloi-docs repository on GitHub. The source code will be published when the system is ready for release.

The core system is sole-authored and architecturally closed. This is not a temporary phase; it reflects how the project is designed to work. Contributions to the core are not accepted. When the plugin system is active, independent development against published interfaces will be possible in any JVM language. Until then, the most useful form of engagement is reading what has been written.

Ooloi is an open-source desktop music notation system for musicians who need stable, precise engraving and the freedom to notate complex music without workarounds. Scores and parts are handled consistently, remain responsive at scale, and support collaborative work without semantic compromise. They are not tied to proprietary formats or licensing.

Ooloi is currently under development. No release date has been announced.
